CAN ESSIAC TEA PREVENT CANCER?

The answer to the question “Can Essiac prevent cancer?” depends on three critical factors:
1. Is it the correct, documented Essiac formula that nurse Rene Caisse developed over a fifty-year period of research and clinical application with real cancer patients? and
2. Are all four herbs very high-quality and certified organic? and
3. Are green Sheep Sorrel Leaf powder and Sheep Sorrel Root powder included?

IS AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION WORTH A POUND OF CURE?

Rene Caisse stated that: “ESSIAC, if given to healthy people, is a blood purifier that stimulates [the body] to do its work before there is any chance of malignant cells invading the body.” [Source: “I Was Canada’s Nurse”, p. 19]
At the time she stated this she believed there must an undiscovered organ that causes this, but now we know this is simply the body’s ability to detoxify poisons, dead cells, foreign material, etc, from the body. Essiac tea provides the tools, one might say, to assist the detoxification process by supporting and stimulating the organs of detoxification such as the liver, lymph system, digestive system, urinary system and the skin, which is the largest organ of detoxification. This explains why sweating through exercise and saunas has been shown to increase lifespan.
Essiac also supports the pancreas which helps people with diabetes and prediabetics. Rene Caisse discovered this phenomenon in her clinical work with cancer patients when one of her patients who also had diabetes went off insulin. Dr. Frederick Banting, who pioneered the discovery of insulin, examined this case and told Rene Caisse that:
“Essiac must actuate the pancreatic gland into normal functioning. Otherwise, the patient would have had to take treatments for the rest of her life, just as she would have had to take insulin.” [ESSIAC: The Secrets of Rene Caisse’s Herbal Pharmacy, Sheila Snow, p. 118]

Rene Caisse was very secretive about her Essiac tea formula. Only a handful of people knew it and they all had to swear to Rene never to reveal it. When Rene Caisse died in 1978 she took her secret with her. No one who knew the Essiac formula ever revealed it after Rene’s death–That is, until Dr. Gary Glum bought the formula from one of Rene’s former patients, Pat Judson.
Dr. Gary Glum became the first person to publicly release Rene Caisse’s Essiac tea formula and recipe when he published his book in 1988, “CALLING OF AN ANGEL”. He sold a video that he made showing how to make Essiac tea. The video also exposed the medical establishment and he was attacked because of it.
Dr. Glum also prepared and sold Essiac tea. He often said that if people drink Essiac tea on a regular basis, they would never get cancer. His experience confirms what Rene Caisse stated in “I Was Canada’s Cancer Nurse”.
I can also confirm this as well. I have provided Essiac tea to cancer patients for two decades. Also, I found that sometimes people with cancer drink Essiac tea and then become cancer free. But then they quit drinking the tea and the cancer will return, sometimes several years later. So they start drinking Essiac again and the cancer disappears again.
So this begs the question: Why wait to get cancer or type two diabetes when it can be prevented in the first place?

* BUYER BEWARE! Most Essiac companies and herb suppliers are now obtaining Sheep Sorrel leaf from Bulgaria and Croatia and it is dead plant material and not even green! Therefore, most of the Essiac sold in the US now has little medicinal value for cancer patients. We are concerned that this may eventually give quality Essiac Tea an undeserved reputation for being ineffective against cancer. This may also give false hope for cancer patients.
