What Happened to Essiac Northwest?
Essiac Northwest is the name of one of our previous retail outlets that provided our high quality Essiac Tea Herbs. Recently, Essiac Northwest was operated by Michelle Mandolf of Sandpoint, Idaho. Previously, Essiac Northwest orders were fulfilled by other Essiac Circle of Friends members also living in North Idaho.
However, Michelle’s eyesight was failing so she could no longer fulfill orders for our Essiac Herbs. Therefore, Michelle’s Essiac Northwest website no longer exists.
Currently, Ingri Cassel of Humbleweed.net fulfills all orders for the Essiac Circle of Friends which of course includes previous customers of Essiac Northwest. Ingri is a clinical herbalist with a lifetime experience with herbal medicine, natural remedies and gardening. She is the leading distributor of our herbs and she has been our longest standing Essiac Circle member.
Although Michelle Mandolf fulfilled orders for several years, she also performed various other duties including field work. The photo below shows Michelle Mandolf (sitting) and Ingri Cassel (standing) digging Sheep Sorrel Roots in our certified organic Essiac herb patch in North Idaho.
We want to thank Michelle for her years of service to the Essiac Circle of Friends and we wish her well in her retirement.
* BUYER BEWARE! Most Essiac companies and herb suppliers are now obtaining Sheep Sorrel leaf from Bulgaria and Croatia and it is dead plant material and not even green! Therefore, most of the Essiac sold in the US now has little medicinal value for cancer patients. Please notice how vibrant green our Sheep Sorrel is in the photo above.
We are concerned that the imported Sheep Sorrel may eventually give Essiac Tea an undeserved reputation for being ineffective against cancer. This may also give false hope for cancer patients.
This is why we place so much attention on how we grow our certified organic herbs and the extra effort and care we place on quality, even though our Essiac Tea Herbs cost significantly more than other Essiac tea providers. As the old adage goes: “You get what you pay for.” *
